Afterwords

I'm just a girl who loves reading more than life itself. A day without a book is a day gone wrong, in my opinion :) Looking forward to meeting new people, talking to them about books and spreading the bookish love!

Trust in Advertising - Victoria Michaels 3.5 starsTrust in Advertising tells the story of second chances, trust, love and fate. At first, this book was fantastic. Half way through I was sure it was at least a 4.5 stars kind of book, but the rest of the book didn't do it for me, and was rather disappointing... more on that in the rest of the review!Lexi White has suffered more lose in her life than most people. When she was young, she lost her mother. Then, just three semesters into college, she got a message that changed her life, or rather - put them on hold. Fast forward eight years; her ill father has past away, and she now has nothing to stop her from living her life. Only, it's not that easy. She has no diploma, no credentials, and thinks the dream she once had to be in advertising is forever lost. She is sweet, kind, loyal, strong (but she can still shed a tear here and there), stands for herself, hard working, beautiful in an unassuming way, doesn't see herself clearly... to be honest, she is kind of a Marry-Sue. Enter Hope, a girl she has met upon moving to San Francisco and fast became best-friends with, who convinces Lexi she has talent in advertising, and that she should try and get a job in the field, rather than give-up on her dreams.Hope is feisty, a feminist, strong, bossy, funny and charming. She's also a great best-friend. So Lexi goes for an interview... and lends a job at Hunter Advertising.Welcome Vincent Drake, her new boss... who also happens to be her high-school crush.
